I don't know if you have found your information yet about the parents of Foldie Valentine Lorentz but if not I may have something for you. There have been many Valentine Lorentz's down through the years and the nickname is Feltie. They did come from Germany on the ship Edinburgh in 1748 to Philly. Johann Philip Lorentz and a brother Johann Jacob L. and 2 sisters. Johann Philip L. married Catherine Susannah Funkhouser abt 1755 and had a large family. Valentine being the oldest son b. 1758, His son John b.1794, had a son John b. 1830, who had a son Felty b. 1840?. My line is through Isaac L. b. 1759 but they all had large families and there were several Valentines. The name changed spelling to Lawrence for most of them. Hope this isn't leading down the wrong path. Juanita
