Bonnie,
I found a Harrison County Court Record on Elizabeth BONNET's dower after Samuel's death. Minute Books 1792-1797, page 50 "The plot of the dower to Elizabeth MAUK, late widow of Samuel BONNET, deceased, was ordered to be recorded as returned by the sheriff." Notice the spelling of John's surname M-A-U-K. This may help your find more records on this family. I am still looking for the names of John's sons who escaped the family massacre. This new information might help me as well.
