Bill,
Thank you for responding.I am sorry but I do not have any additional information on the Samuel Loudon of the October 23rd 1779 Saratoga District Tax List.
I am compiling a community history of the colonial tenant farmers, who lived in the Saratoga District of Albany County, NY before September 19, 1777.I have used the March 2, 1779 and October 23, 1779 Saratoga District Tax Lists as the foundation of my database. So all I know about Samuel Loudon is what I found in the October 23, 1779 Saratoga District Tax List and in the book, New York in the Revolution as Colony and State.
The Saratoga District included part of the present day Town of Malta, the northern section of the City of Mechanicville, the Town Stillwater, the Town of Saratoga, the Town of Northumberland and the Town of Moreau in Saratoga County, as well as, the Towns of Ft. Edward, Greenwich and Easton in Washington County, NY.I'll send you an article that I wrote for Sleeper News about my research, which was later condensed and republished in the Heritage Hunters' news letter. This article out lines the purpose and scope of my research.I'll send the article by e-mail.
Thank you again for our help.
