Hi George,
I'm not sure if there is a connection but info I have is somewhat similar.

I am related to a John Lowden/Louden who was born in 1675 in Ireland and died in PA in 1714. His daughter, Mary was born in 1713 in New Garden, Chester, PA and died in 1748 in York, PA. From there I leave the Lowden family as Mary marries Herman Updegraff. A few generations of the Updegraff family later, by 1852, they were living in Liberty, Tioga Co., PA. So, it is possible that the William you name was the same Louden/Lowden family. I hope this helps.

If you trace your Wm. to John and have generations before that, I would be interested.

Bonnie S.
