Hi George,
I found the connection. My ancestor Mary Lowden Updegraff had a grandson named Martin Updegraff who was born 1765 in York, PA and died 1843 in Fayette, Shelby, Indiana. I checked all of the sons and grandsons and this is the only Updegraff son/grandson that I could find who left PA, although I don't have places of death of all the sons/grandsons so it is possible that there were more. Pretty interesting.

Thanks for cluing me in on the connection. My Lowden line ends with Mary but the "rest of the story" is very interesting.

Bonnie
