Hi, Linda:

We communicated a few years back about Thomas Louden and Mary Jane Kennedy (my 3X great-grandparents). Their daughter, Mary Ann married Thomas Black (my mother's maiden name is Black).

Today, I decided to give the Loudens another stab and saw some of your postings. At one point, you suspected that the Loudens of Covey Hill, QC and our Loudens were related -- possibly that our Thomas and Covey Hill John (1806-1864) were brothers. I'm sure that you noticed in the 1852 Census that there was an older John (b. 1783) living with John Jr. and his wife Jane Stevenson (perhaps his widowed father?). Have you ever pursued 1783 John in your research? I suspect that he would have been born in Scotland as they say a bunch of Scottish families went to Ireland around 1800 -- the Loudens being one of them.

Since two heads are always better than one, I thought I would reconnect with you to see where you are now in your research. Not sure that I have progressed much over the years, but willing to share anything of interest to you.
