hello laughneys! i have just discovered that my great grandmother was a loughney.her name was catherine and her parents were brian and hannah.she was definitely born in co. mayo but i am having difficulty locating the exact place.i know she had a sister called bridget who married thomas padden. catherine left ireland probably in the 1860's or early 1870's and went to leeds.there she married thomas dunn (born ireland) and they moved to newcastle on tyne where i was born -1948. i would love to hear from anyone who might know anything at all about this branch of the family.best wishes pauline.
