Hi Willard,

In researching my Loughney family, I am not aware of any James Loughney, born in Ireland who lived in Pittston, PA, that would be a member of my family.

My family does include one James Loughney, born in PA about 1869, the son of Michael Loughney and Catherine Havers, of Olyphant, Blakely Township, Luzerne County in 1870, and now part of Lackawanna County.

The only other James Loughney I came across, who might be a family member was two-years old in 1860, and had been born in Pennsylvania. His parents were Michael and Catherine (?) Loughney, and they were living in Palmyra Township, Wayne County, PA in 1860, not far from the family of my gggps Matthew and Catherine Canders Loughney. Although in the Census documents it looks like the family name is spelled Lockney or Luckney.

Good luck,
Robby
