I made the last post a few years ago and I made an error in where John Loughran actually came from in Ireland. He was from Kildress Parish, Killucan County Tyrone in N. Ireland.I have gathered more information that I obtained from letters that were actually written to my great grandfather from friends and family members in County Tyrone Ireland back in 1879 - 1888.
Come to find out John's father Michael Loughran immigrated to the United States from Kildress Parish, Killucan Cookstown County Tyrone Ireland in 1864 to WilkesBarre PA to start a new life in America. He returned to Ireland to bring the family back with him in 1879.
MICHAEL LOUGHRAN was born in 1834 in Tyrone, Ireland
Married CATHERINE SLANE sometime in the late 1850s.
Had the following children: JOHN OWEN LOUGHRAN b 19 May 1859 in Kildress Parish, Killucan, Tyrone Ireland.
SARAH ANNE LOUGHRAN b Feb 1861 in Kildress Parish, Killucan, Tyrone Ireland.
MARY LOUGHRAN b. 1863 in Kildress Parish,Killucan, Tyrone Ireland
ELLEN MARIE LOUGHRAN b. 1865 in Kildress Pariash, Killucan, Tyrone Ireland.
MARGARET LOUGHRAN 1876 in Kildress Parish, Killucan, Tyrone Ireland.
CATHERINE 1877 in Kildress Parish, Killucan, Tyrone Ireland.
MICHAEL LOUGHRAN 1879 in WilkesBarre, Luzerne County, PA USA.
I do not know what MICHAEL LOUGHRAN's parents names are or siblings. The tradition of naming your children after parents on both sides, I think was practiced in his family because Michael's son John named his children after his siblings. And so this might give me a hint as to maybe what name Michael's father and mother's name was.
I know that there is a connection with the MONAGHAN family.I think MICHAEL may have had either a cousin or sister named BRIDGET who married a PETER MONAGHAN and they had a son named MICHAEL PETER MONAGHAN.I think there was another son named PATRICK MONAGHAN.
I provide this information in hopes that someone may have similar names and that we could be related.Which helps me continue my family tree back into Ireland.
Thank you and hope I hear from anyone that is related.
