The last name is a SLANG, not literal translation. My father consulted a german language professor at UC Berkeley about 25 years ago who believed that the language at the time would have translated as a living fire or living fire house - which was another name for a brothel, which has no direct translation at that time.
There is a Peter Lautzenheiser who lives nearby (I think in Sohren)who I would imagine could provide more information. I have been unable to contact him as of yet.
