This couple was the parents of Clinton Loveridge the painter out of Albany New York. Her father was Cornelius William Groesbeck. I am interested in the Loveridge line (Clinton in particular).They show up in Albany and Brooklyn city directories. There is mention of a J. E. Loveridge helping Clinton get his pension reinstated. He fought in Berdan's Sharpshooters. He was only 5'6" with with grey eyes, brown hair and fair complexion. He lost a leg on the battlefield in 1862. He shared quarters in Brooklyn with another painter Samuel S. Carr.I will share other info I have if you will e-mail me privately. And I would appreciate any info tracing his line back to Europe.
