2. John LOVERAIN of Ipswich [S4] was born in 1655 in Dover, NH / Berwick, ME. He lived at "Quamphegan" (now part of Dover) from 1663 on with his parents..After his father's death, John and his sister Mary were put under the guardianship of Mr. John Wincoll and Mr. Ezekiel Knight. John was apprenticed for ten years as a carpenter to Mr. Abraham Tilton of Wells, ME. Name indcated as "Lovewell on Indenture Agreement dated April 4, 1672. Moved thence to Ipswich, MA. He married Hannah KILLHAM on 1 Mar 1686 in Ipswich, MA . He sold his father's property , the home lot where he and parents had lived, in Dover, NH to a Thomas Abbott June 21, 1700. Hannah KILLHAM was born in 1665 in Ipswich, MA. They had the following children:

Ebenezer LOVERING of Hampton Falls [S14,S15] was born about 1690.Died on 4 Mar 1723 in Hampton, NH.[S16].In the French and Indian Wars Ebenezer enlisted in Anthony Towle's 4th Co., Thomas Tash's Btln. ( Tash was from Durham, NH) 250 men were posted at Fort No.4 at Charlestown NH for the defense of Fort Edward after the Crown Point Expedition. He was on the Muster Roll of John Gilman's Co. of 91 men in pursuit of the indians who killed Col. Hilton after the Port Royal expedition. Aug 16, 1710 (Samuel was in same regiment.) He bought land from Ben'j. Shaw and Joseph Swell, Jr. in 1713. His Eldest child was born in the home of Dea. Samuel Shaw and local gossip said that the child's father was the deacon. Esther was hailed into court. The Deacon called Ebenerzer “kinsman”.Ebenezer’s will of Nov.15 1723--Mar 4 1723 names 4 children, a fifth unborn. He married Ester DEARBORN on 13 Jan 1713 in Hampton Falls, NH.Ester DEARBORN was born about 1690 in Hampton, NH. They had the following children:

John LOVERING of Chichester was born on 21 Aug 1715 in Hampton Falls, NH.Died in Chichester, NH.Deposition in Hampton Falls, NH.Resided in 1762 in Chichester, NH.[S40,S41].Licenses for Taverns, Inns, Strong Water Houses, Public Victualers granted by County Courts Act of May 29, 1686 and May 29, 1687 Purchased tavern from Benj. Swett in 1748 (24819)(25562); sold it to Sam'l Leavitt 1758(22167).Johm Lovering of Kensington, NH purchasedlands in Chichester on Dec. 5 1755 from Reuben Sanborn of Portsmouth. There are also conveyances of land in Chichester from Sam'l Sleeper to John Lovering of Rye, NH. He married Anne SANBORN on 25 Oct 1733 in Hampton Falls, NH.Anne SANBORN was born about 1717 in Hampton, NH.
