I am researching the same lines in Clarendon County. An R.T. Lowder shows up in the 1850 Cencus of Sumter District. My information is from an old paper document my mother gave me. Here is what I have:
"Henry T. Lowder, born circa 1810 was first located in the 1850 cencus of Sumter District, household #138. His wife is listed as Frances, born circa 1820. Others in this household were: Hester C. ca. 1838; James J. Ca. 1840; Charles A. Ca. 1842; Amanda ca. 1848 and Louisa A. ca. 1849.
Living nearby, House #141 was the following: Milly Lowder, born ca. 1778 and Catherine Lowder, ca 1810. This is possibly the mother and sister of Henry H. Lowder. Also living nearby was William Lowder, ca 1802 and wife Susan, ca. 1802 and their children (#139) also R.T. Lowder, ca 1800 wife Frances, ca. 1797 and family. #163. These are all probably relatives of Henry H. Lowder"
Hope this helps.
Jamie
