Loya Family Genealogy Forum
This is definitely getting complicated. Whether we're making it that way or not is another question. We have definitely run into a classic (from what I have studied) Abenaki extended family band. The Loya, Doner, Swenor, etc. clan seems to have really hung together: it seems that they moved about the area often, staying with one family member or another, and they kept to themselves and married within the extended group. This, of course, makes it very difficult for us to track and document their lives. No, I don't have a "job", as such. I am still in school, as I mentioned before. I have my Bachelor's degree and I am now finishing up the education courses and student teaching that I need to get my teacher's license. I spend too much time on this, I know (it may land me in divorce court yet!). I'm still working on a few leads; we'll wip this thing yet! I'll keep you posted.
