I live in Istanbul Turkey. My mother's family ( Loya ) had came from Bulgaria in early 20 th century to Istanbul. I have investigated in Spain, which a village with the name LOJA still exists. Our roots were deported from Spain after the inquisition , because they were Jewish. We met with only two Loya families in Israel, so far. I will appreciate to receive your reply, if you will be interested, by e-mail.
