Ms. Agin,
I am Alex Loya of the Loya from Texas. I have been trying to get in touch with you for a long time. I have written two books on the history of the Loya, we are all the same gens, that is, the same family group which is rooted in the same ancestor a few hundred years back.I am sending my first book to the printer by the end of this week, if you could email me back before the week is out, I would appreciate it, I already include your name in my bibliography. My questions:
Could you please elaborate on the statement you posted that it may have been an issue for one of your Loya to have married a Roman Catholic. Why would it be an issue if she was a Roman Catholic herself? Could you please elaborate on the religion of you r Loya.
Could you please tell me all you know about your branch, when they came to America, the national identity, any old stories etc. if you can send me old pictures of Loya from New York or Vermont or both, with history attachjed, to include in my book I would be very grateful! But I need to hear from you this week, my book is going to the printers and to several important historical and genealogical societies, and I would like your branch to be included. I look forward to hearing from you this week, I will hold off a few days.
