Hi Y'all,

Don't know why I didn't think to look for a Loya forum sooner. I was also born in Les Mont Verd (my spelling probably is not correct)! My mother's father was Harry Bertram Merritt-born Mar 8, 1888. His father was William Merritt-born in Waybridge, Vt. married to Mary Loya-born in East Chazy, NY. My mother, age 89, tells me that Mary was 1/2 Native American, but I do not know which tribe.

I have been unable to find any info on Mary, even with a visit to Chazy last year. I would be forever grateful if someone can put me on the right track.

Merci and Regards,

Dick from Fort Worth, Tx.
