I am searching for any information regading the Loya family proir to 1880s. I know Eligio Loya immagrated to the Santa Barbara area in california, married Maria Cruz, had six children, including my great grandmother Eulalia Loya, before settling in Imperial County, where i found cemetery records of thier burials. I know he was part of the Yaqui tribe and around that time there were dangerous battles with the Mexican government that drove thousands of Yaquis out of the area. Any information would be greatly appreciated and extremely helpful. His children include two boys: Pedro and Bernardino and four girls: Eulalia, Manuela, Concepcion (Conda), and Juana.
