Hi Betty,

I have noticed that some of the email I get looks like it is addressed to rell(double ele), instead of rel1(one). My computer system may also make the one look like and ele. Should I email myself to see if I answer myself? Just kiding!!!!!!!!

Louie, If you read this, try me again at

My sister Earlene and I visited the Abenaki center in Vermont last year(can't remember the name of the town but guess it was Swanton), but with only a name they couldn't give us any info. I have done a little research on the tribe because for several years I have suspected they were the Loya-Indian blood connection. I also have a small hardbound book on the tribe that my father gave me in the late 80s-way before I became interested in genealogy. But, I don't know where it is amongst all the treasures(junk) I have accumulated. Now, I wonder why he had it. I think it was published in the 20s. I'll make an effort to find it.

Whenever I can put ten open days together, I will be flying to Vermont to visit my mother. She is almost 90 and not doing to well. I plan on doing some research in Clinton County, NY and in Vt. while I am there. I will also drive up the first week of October and spend a month.

I am going to contact the CHIEF, to see if he can help, or what other info he needs to connect us. I also want to visit with him on one of my trips, if possible.

I do ramble on.
