Hi Barbara,Another spelling of LOZIER, is LOSURE.Kosciusko County, Indiana had a few in mid 1800s.A Jacob LOSURE (est. birth date 1779-1812) married Rhuemay WILSON (b. 1803 in Ohio).They ended up in Koscuisko Co., IN for at least awhile.
They had 10 children:Nancy,b. 1823 Ohio;Susan,b. 1825 Ohio;Elizabeth,b. 1827 Ohio;James, b. 1830 Ohio;Clinton, b. 1832 Indiana;Amariah, b. 1835 IN;Wilson (my gg grandfather) , b. 1837 IN;George, b. 1839 IN;Ingaby,b. 1842 IN;Polly, b. 1845IN.Wilson LOSURE married Oradine (maiden name unknown, but born in 1828 Ohio), they had 4 children, one of which was Enos Wilson LOSURE (my great grandfather), b. June 11, 1849 at Warsaw, Kosciusko County, Indiana . They end up in Jasper County, Iowa and then settle in Sac County, Iowa.Anything fitting?I've found my LOSUREs spelled LOSURE,LOSIERandLOZIER in various records.Let me know if I can help.
