BISHOP LUCCOCK IS DEAD.
Head of Methodist Church of Montana and the Dakotas Succumbs in La Crosse, Wis.
La Crosse, Wis., April. -- Bishop Naphtall Luccock, head of the Methodist Episcopal churches of Montana and the Dakotas, died in the Lutheran hospital here early this morning. Death resulted from Bright's disease, following an attack of pneumonia. Bishop Luccock was on his way from Helena to a conference in Brooklyn, N. Y., when he was taken ill en route.
Bishop Luccock was born Sept. 28, 1853, in Kimbolton, O. He was graduated from the Ohio Wesleyan university. He was the cousin of the Rev. George N. Luccock, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Oak Park, and was a frequent visitor in Chicago. He was elected to the episcopacy four years ago at Minneapolis.
The funeral services will be in St. Louis, Mo., on Tuesday
