I have noticed a lot of errors and misspelling while working on my Genealogy over the pat 20 + years.
I just returned from a holiday to New York, where we visited the new Ellis Island in New York harbour.
It was interesting to watch a film about immigrants landing on US soil, and the spellings of many of the names.
It seems people were just glad to come to a country to raise their famalies, and really didn't seem to care much about the name spellings.
