The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, February 28, 1907 The home of MR. JOHN E. WAUGH, in Chariton was last night the scene of a sweet and impressive double wedding. The contracting couples were MR. JOHN E. WAUGH and MISS AMANDA LUNDGREN, and MR. ALFRED D. LUNDGREN and MISS ZOIRELDA WAUGH, daughter of MR. WAUGH, of Chariton. The ceremony was performed by C.F. Ward, Minister for the Christian Church of Boone, formerly Minister for the Chariton Christian Church. A beautiful double ring service was used. Promptly at eight o'clock the wedding march by Mendelsshon was played by Miss Ella Lundgren and the two couples preceded by the officiating minister, came into the parlor, where were awaiting them about sixty relatives and invited guests. After the ceremony and congratulations, light refreshments were served. All four of the contracting parties are well and favorably known here. MR. WAUGH is the proprietor of the Chariton Bottling Works and has by industry and courteous dealing secured a fine patronage all over southern Iowa. MR. LUNDGREN has been associated with Johnson & Best contractors. Both MISS LUNDGREN and MISS WAUGH are accomplished Christian young women and have a host of friends. MISS LUNDGREN at the wedding wore a dress of white silk mull over pink silk and MISS WAUGH a dress of white silk over cream taffeta. Both carried brides' roses. The grooms wore the conventional black. These newly married people will continue to live in Chariton and their large number of friends join in wishing them a long wedded life of happiness and usefulness. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copied by Nancee(McMurtrey)Seifert December 4, 2004 iggy29@rnetinc.net Notify Administrator about this message?
