This is the family 'story', maybe you have heard a similar story, if so please contact me with your info.:John Fredric Lundgren and his wife Josephine spent time in Norht Dakota and Minnesota. (and maybe in Chicago).John F. either owned a bar or worked in one; he died of drink at a early age.His wife then started a boarding house to make a living. At some point after Her husbands death, Josephine sent my Grandfather, Gustaf Aldoph Lundgren to his uncles farm in Minot, North Dakota; he was about 9 yrs. old (around 1902). He worked there until he was about 17-19 (about 1910-1912). He then took the train west to Oakland, Ca. where his other brothers were working in the printing business (in San Francisco)His mother, Josephine, and his youngest sister Mable moved to Oakland then too. Grace, the other sister stayed back east and only came out west for the occasional visit. Edward stayed in either Minnesota or Wisconson and became a minister (probably Luthern), Once the family was re-united in Oakland they lived together on 67th Av. as a tight family. My Grandfather, Gustaf married Gussie Costa in Oakland around 1924.They moved around alot and he died and is buried in Eureka, Ca (1974).Where are the other siblings families? And who knows more about our ancestors? Thanks
