Hi Donna:
Would be interested in writing you by email.
My line via James Lunney and Fanny Donnelly.
What I know about the Gunn's is that they originally ran the Gunn Mills at Petersville (now part of London, Ontario, Canada at the end of Saunby Street their mill directly fed the McPherson Carriages works and the family apparently was part of General Blacks men at the Scottish/Irish Settlement of near by Hyde Park, Ontario at the end of the American Revolution.
Family members apparently went back and forth between, Argyll, Ontario, Henderson County, Illinois, Durham County and Durham, Grey County, Ontario, and Ireland.
When the Gunn mills burnt the McPherson Carriage works relocated to Richmond Street in London, Ontario. When business fell off the carriage works moved to Palmerston, Ontario and then Mt. Forest, Ontario.
My line married in Mt. Forest and came back to London to take up work with Henry Ford.
Part of the old Gunn Mills still lay in ruins at the river.
I'm working with a lot of good Lunney researchers trying to work this all out and would love to compare notes.
While I can place the Gunn's, McPherson's and Campbell's in London I haven't fully figured out when exactly they were in London area but know they had to be here at one point. Your information on Margaret Lunney Gunn would be very helpful.
Len
