My kinsman, John Chandler, married Elizabeth, the widow of Lt. Albiano Lupo.
Lt. Albiano Lupo, Gent. land patent of 350 acres 1 Sep 1624 [PB 1, P1, p33],an Ancient Planter of Kiccoughtan in the Corpoation of Elizabeth City.By a small branch dividing this from the land of his wife, Elizabeth Lupo, near land of John Bush.For his personal adventure and the transportation out of England of 5 servants: John Slaughter and John Hayes who came in the George in 1617, Hester Wheeler in the George in 1619, Daniel Palmer in the Warwick in 1621, whose passage he defrayed unto John Downham, of the Parish of Kiccoughtan, and Elizabeth Hayden in the London Merchant in 1620.Albiano's will was probated 9 Oct 1626, aged 40, arrived in the Swann in 1610.
Elizabeth arrived in the George in 1616.Her first husband had arrived in 1610.
Elizabeth Lupo, wife of Albiano Lupo, Gent., of Kiccoughtan, in the Corp. of Elizabeth Citty received 50 acres on 20 Sep 1624 [PB 1, P1, p34] Swd on the braod creek by the old pines, Ewd upon a branch of the same, dividing it from the land of her husband.Due by order of the Court out of England.
John Arundell received land ---towards land of Capt. Richard Stephens, Esq. now in the tenure of John Chandler, Planter &c on 7 Sep 1632 [PB1, P1, p166][Who was Stephens, and why did John Chandler have tenure?].Could Elizabeth have been Richard Stephens daughter?
Does anyone know anything else about this family?
