Harry Lute-Ohio

Hi there Lute family. I hope you are related. My great grandfather Harry Lute married Abbie Davis in Delaware, Ohio
in 1878. They had four children-Pearl-Olive-Harry Jr.-and my grandmother, Nellie Lute. He has a mysterious past. All I know is either he or his parents came from Louisiana and that he was a bit of a scroundrel and deserted my great grandmother and their children. He was buried in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, but I can find no record of him. I can't even find him in the census but found Abbie J. Lute in the 1910 and 1920 census of Ohio. Does anyone know anything about this man? I am wondering if Harry was his real name or a nickname. Please help!!!
THank you,
Karen Monroe
