John Lutz worked for American Car & Foundry ca 1875

I am looking for any information on my Great Grandfather John Lutz who worked as a tool and die maker for the American Car & Foundry ca 1875 in Memphis. I believe that he and his first wife got yellow fever and she died and later he remarried. He may have been living in Louisville, KY for a short time where his first child (my Grandmother) was born in ca 1878.
