Hi,
I am looking for information on Joseph Lux and his family. He may have had a brother named Gerhard Otto Lux or it was his son.

In the "Nebraska State Gazetter Farmers Directory" for 1890 it lists

LUX, Gerhard , Rising City
LUX, Joseph, Rising City

In the 1900 census it lists Joseph Lux and his family
Reading Township, Butler County, Nebraska

Lux, Joseph
wife Sophia
son Carl
son G. Otto (I think is Gerhard Otto)
daug Emma
daug Anna
daug Efreida
daug Carrie S. (I think it's Carrie Sophia)

In the 1906 Reading Township Directory of Leading Farmers of Butler County
it lists

LUX, joseph , Rising City (RFD#) 2 (Section) 6
LUX, Gerhard , Surprise (RFD#) 0 (Section) 19

In the 1918 Reading Precinct Atlas of Butler and Polk Counties
It lists
LUX, Jos.
wf Sophie
ch Charles, Anton, Otto, Emma, Anna, Freda, Sophie
P.O. Rising City
R.2.O.
160.65 ac, sec 6 (35)

From what I know Joseph Lux came over to America in 1883 with his cousin Carl M. Lux and another Lux family member, from Germany.
Joseph and his wife Anna were married in Germany in 1874 and had at least 2 of their children in Germany before coming to America.
Supposedly his son Anton was also a politician in Nebraska in the early 1900's? I am not 100% sure on the details.
Any help on this family is greatly appreciated.

Mrs.Nevada Boslet
