Dear Zlatica,
Thank you for taking the time to send me the listing of sites. So far I have not found any new information, but I will keep looking.

My main problam is that I have been unable to find out when my family relocated to Botschar/Bocar/Bocsar or exactly where they were before arriving.

My grandmother's parents were from Botschar/Bocar/Bocsar also. However, I am beginning to suspect that my GreatGrandFather Kristof Szendef may have been a Magyar rather than an ethnic German because I can not find any one with the name of Szendef,Sendef in any of the Banat sites. I am a bit confused though because he was the founder and 1st President of the German-Hungarian Club of Philadelphia.
