In the Minnesota Death Index online, I found her daughter listed: Angeline S. Meisenburg, Mother: NICHOLS. This is the only reference I have found thus far on Barbara's family name in Luxembourg.

Barbara came to the USA in 1852 per the 1900 US Census.
