Searching for the home villages for Peter and Catherine Gengler. Also the family name for Catherine.

Peter Gengler, born November 1842 in Luxembourg. He stated on 2 US census records that he came to the USA in 1867; he m. Catherine, either in Luxembourg or in Chicago, Illinois. Catherine was born February 1843 in Luxembourg.

In the 1870 US Census, Illinois, Chicago, Ward 17, p. 163 - Pier Gengler, age 26 and his wife, Katherine, age 26, are living with Peter Gengler, age 29. All are from Luxembourg, and both Pier and Peter are listed as laborers

In 1885 I find Peter and Katherine living in Meeker County, Minnesota, Darwin Township - Minnesota 1885 census. They have 5 children, ages 3 to 14 years, all born in Illinois.

In 1895 I find them on a Minnesota census with 3 children.

In 1900 census, Peter and Catherine are still with three children and living at the same place in Meeker County, Minnesota. Peter claims he came to the USA in 1867.

In the 1910 census, they are without children in the home, and Peter says he came to the USA in 1867; Catherine says she came to the USA in 1868.

Peter Gengler died 5 Dec. 1917 in Meeker County, Minnesota;
Catherine Gengler died 2 June 1925 in Meeker County, Minnesota.

I am looking for the home town of these people.
