Joseph Lymburner (also spelled Limeburner)was born in Brooksville, ME 18 Dec 1816. He was the son of Thomas Lymburner and Mary Snow. Joseph married Maria Potter of New York, and retired to his farm of 123 acres in the village of Modena, NY. For many years he was the Captain of "The Great Republic", the largest clipper ship ever built. Children:
1. Josephine, died young.
2. Andrew P. born Plattekill Township, NY 30 Sept 1850.
3. Charles A. born at sea aboard the ship "Samuel Russell" 18 Nov 1854.
4. Joseph, born 22 Aug 1863.
