Once again, thank you for communication. The letter I referred to you in the last e-mail, states:

"Margaret married John Gilman. They had a large family, John, Nehemiah, Matthew, and Alexander and 6 or 7 daughters. The eldest son (also John) went back to Exeter and redeemed the old family property the rest of the family signing away their rights to him........"

"Nehemiah and Matthew went to the Miramichi lumber wood and both went through the Miramichi Fire. Matthew at the Mouth of Pokiok and built a saw mill there."

(I am jumping around editing this letter)

"Nehemiah Gilman built a saw-mill and grist mill on Longs Creek a mile back from the river. The Gilmans in Charlotte County now are descended from Alexander Gilman the fourth son. Their sisters married names were Moors, Robinson, Mooney, Hill, Glendenning, McCluskey and other"

"Nehemiah Gilman married Jerusha Courser or Courseau as it is written in an old book belonging to C Walter Clark."

Way down the letter it closes with the following:

"The above is a copy of the infomration I received from Margaery Atchison, daughter of Austin Squires who wrote the above.

Austin Squires is the 2nd cousin to my father's first cousin on the Gilman side of the family. He used to live in Saint John, and I understand he has died.

My first question is "Are there 2 separate Nehemiah Gilmans? Are we talking about the same person or a different person?

My Nehemiah Gilman was born 16th August 1800, died 21st October 1884. His son John C Gilman, my g-g-gf, was born 27th December 1849, died 28th May 1912. His son William Bulter Gilman, my g-grandfather,was born 28th July 1877 and died 10th October 1961 in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

The information about my Gilman family was taken from the Gilman family's own cemetary on the old farm.

Can you let me know if my information makes any sense in this confusion? Thanks.
