My information is: John Lymburner married Elizabeth Glen in 1769, and married Jean Glen in 1770.
There is a great confusion about the 2 families that came to America. One John of Kilmarnock came to Halifax and then to Quebec city after the war with the French. He reached Quebec around 1762. He died at sea in 1772. His brother Adam came to Quebec to take over John's business. Adam later brought his young brother Matthew into the business. John and Adam where not married. Matthew married in Montreal in 1803 to Adelaide Evans.
Another John, and his brother Matthew, came to Maine. Matthew moved to New Brunswick, died there and his son Matthew moved to Ontario.
The problem is too many Lymburners named John. That may be the cause of a lot of confusion. Being connected to both families, I hope that we may, one day soon, find the common ancestor.
