Jim,
I think this is the same Samuel J Linam. He married Martha Ann McDonald 20 Dec 1854, they had 2 children as far as I know. In the 1860 Monroe Co.,Burnt Corn, Al census he is liste as Sam Lynum age 31 overseer? born SC
with Martha age 25?born Ga, Ealy age 4 female(Eveline-my gggrandmother)born Al.,Ferris or James age 2 male born Al.
Besides his marriage to Elizabeth,he married a Susan on 30 Aug 1892 probably in Conecuh Co.She was dorn 15 June 1851 in Butler Co.She was still alive in Escambia in 1931.
May I ask how you are kin to Samuel J Linam?
Maybe we are kin!
