I have a fairly extensive genealogy from the mid-1700's for the Lynams of the parish of Castletown-Geoghan , Co. Westmeath - most from the villages of Dunore, Cloonagh and Gaulstown, Most common names are James, Patrick, Malachy and Mary. Some of the family went to the north of Ireland, one to New Zealand, one to Saskatchewan, and some to Oklahoma. I visit and am in contact with two cousins in Westmeath: one lives just down the road from Horseleap Cemetery where some of the Lynmans are buried, the other lives on a farm in Cloonagh that has been in the family since 1830. I am also in contact with the cousins in New Zealand.
