mostly (or always??) in Ireland it's spelt LYNAM, LYNHAM ( tho' I've seen LINUM!!!) -
- my probable relatives in Renovo PA have LYMAN on the baptisms and marriages in the 1875-1910 years - but in co Meath in 1820s they were Lynam (assuming they are the same!).
