I may be researching a son of your John and Eliza Lynam. His name was O.W. Lynam and he has been given as Oscar W. and as Osborne W. Lynam. Also, his last name has been found in Wapello County Iowa records as LYMAN and this confused me for a number of years. Recently, I found a clear copy of a census record (1870) and multiple entries in court records that he was OW LYNAM. A Wapello County bio stated OW LYMAN was son of John R. and Eliza McFarland. This OW was born 19 Nov 1841 in Newport, Wilmington County, Delaware and he married Adaline Davis in Wapello County Iowa December 6, 1866. If this fits with your John R. LYNAM family, I would like to exchange information with you. TY V. [My private email is vlouise_@hotmail.com if you would like to contact me directly.]
