I believe I have some minimal information about the Lynams of Sumter County, but I can't put my fingers on it right now. Will get back to you when I find it. In the meantime, I corresponded via e-mail with a John D. Cain about 18 months or so ago, and he was specifically researching the Linams (his spelling) in Sumter County. His e-mail address was JCain@compuserve.com. Hope this proves helpful. My 5th great grandfather was George Linam of Union County (previously 96 District), SC. I've always felt that there might be a connection between the Union & Sumter County families, but have never found a link. Would be interested if you have any information of a connection.
