My husbands grandmother was Mary Lynam (1879-1916) she married a Joseph Dowling in 1902. We are trying to find details of her parents. Her father was either James or Michael both names being given on different certificates. He gave his occupation as farmer. We think she was born in either Offaly or Westmeath. She and her sister Katy were sent to America after the death of her mother but they returned home and married in Ireland. Their brother James remained in the US and never married. He died on 19th March 1958 in Westchester, New Jersey. They had another sister who I think was called Eileen. If you have any information on this family I would be grateful.
