My name is Dennis van Eijsden, 24 years old and I live in the Netherlands and since June I adopted the grave of John R Lynam at the American Cemetery in Magraten (Netherlands). Since the adaptation I started a search to find more information about this fallen soldier who gave his life, and with him many more for our freedom.

Information so far:

Name: Lynam John R
ASN: 33321085
Unit: 41st Infantry Battalion, 2nd Armored Division
Rank: Staff Sergeant
D.O.D.: 17 NOV 1944
Burial site: Margraten, The Netherlands

Through the website http://www.archives.gov/ I know John R Lynam his 'NATIVITY' was DELAWARE. Further information:

http://aad.archives.gov/aad/record-detail.jsp?dt=893&mtch=1&cat=all&tf=F&q=33321085&rpp=10&pg=1&rid=3842883

probable Year of birth= 1921

Maybe anyone can give some more information, tips or addresses where I can try to find more information about John R. Lynam with as goal maybe to come in contact with possible family or to find veterans who served with John R. Lynam in combat.

Hopefully anyone can help my further with my search and anyway thanks in front for your time.

Greetings from the Netherlands.

Yours Sincerely,

Dennis van Eijsden
