Annie, thank your for this great information!I do not have Thomas listed on my tree on ancestry yet, because I was assuming that he was related to Bridget.I sent a message to the person on ancestry who is a gg granson of Thomas and he says that the family history that was passed down is that Thomas was from Waterford...I don't know if that means the city or the county.Thomas Lynch lived two doors down from Patrick O'Brien and Bridget Lynch in the 1871 Canada census, so I thought that he was a likely brother to Bridget since he didn't own land there and would have had little incentive to move there unless to be near family.I can't find a marriage record for Bridget Lynch marrying Patrick O'Brien before 1858, so I thought that researching Thomas might lead me to Bridget.Thomas was maried in 1872 on Calumet Island, and his parents names are listed as Laurence Lynch and Catherine Cahill.I'll have to Visit Vinton, QC someday. Both sets of great grandparents on my mother's, mother's side are from there.
