The earliest that I can find my line of Lynes is in the 1850 Jones Co.,Mississippi Census. Thomas Lynes b. 1804, m. Mary Watters b.1807. They are shown in that census with six children, among them my 2nd great grandfather, Obadiah b. 29 Oct. 1841, m. Sarah Pitts b.16 Apr. 1838.
I have no information before Thomas Lynes. I believe his middle name to be Lem., and information shows both Thomas and Mary were born in S. C. I would like any information that might connect him to another Lynes family.
