Samuel--thank you so much for your responses! I saw that in the Barnwell census also, and wondered. Most of my other lines showed similar things--families living close--unlike the ways most of us do today!

I am actually visiting my mother right now in Folkston, GA and am from Tennessee. When I get back to where I have all my research, I will get back in touch. I went to Barnwell County, SC and didn't find a lot, but did find some Lyons deeds. I will tell you what I found when I can look at them again--next week. Are you the Samuel Lyons my mother(Betty Stewart) and my Aunt Jenny talked with at the Lyons reunion last year? Do you live in south Georgia? You can e-mail me if you want.
