The book "The Pictorial History of Fort Wayne, Indiana" states there was a Lynes family living in the community of Fairport in Milan twp Allen county Indiana between 1840 and 1850. (Fairport is on the Maumee River in the eastern part of the township). There are Lyons families living in the Allen County Indiana townships of Wayne and Washington in 1840. In the 1850 there are Lyons families living in the Allen County Indiana townships of Cedar Creek and Washington. But no Lynes families.
Based on my research there was a married daughter of the Lynes family living in Milian Center from the late 1840 unil 1900. So it seemed possible that her Lynes family may have lived in or passed through the township.
Has anyone any information on this Lynes family that was in Fairport Milan township in the 1840's?
