Looking for information about William Lynn 1869-1961, b Carncastle Co. Antrim, N.I.

William was a District Inspector with the Royal Irish Constabulary, and later the Royal Ulster Constabulary. He served with distinction throughout the Province, and won awards and medals, laterly the MBE in 1938.

His wife was surnamed Duffy, his sons Jack and William Aloysius, his father named John Lynn, also from Carncastle, Co Antrim.

I am looking for information for his granddaughter. Some family connection would be wonderful, but some advice about researching in Northern Ireland would be good also.
