Doni;

I would like to clarify which Alonzo LUYSTER / LYSTER I am trying to identify.

The one you have made reference to is the son of Peter V. LUYSTER - and this Alonzo is b. 1848, Johnson Co, IN.

The Alonzo LUYSTER / LYSTER I am trying to find the father of is Alonzo b. June 1880, Johnson Co, IN. This Alonzo shows up in the 1900 Johnson Co, IN census in household of Daniel ROBBINS. Alonzo is listed with his wife - Lelia b. 1882 IN and daughter, Hazel, age 4 months. They are listed as grandson, granddaughter, and g.granddaughter of Daniel ROBBINS. Daniel's wife, Dorthy is the oldest daughter of my g.g.grandfather James STARLING b. 1815, Henry Co, KY. James migrated to Johnson Co, IN in late 1840's.

Clearly we are referring to two different Alonzo LUYSTER's. My question is - is the younger Alonzo b. 1880, IN the son of the older Alonzo b. 1848? Or is he the son of one of Alonzo b.1848 brothers???

The 1910 Indianapolis, Marion Co, IN census lists an Alonzo LYSTER, b. 1880, IN living in Ward 14. His wife is listed as LELA b. 1882. (I believe this is the same family that was listed in the above 1900 Johnson Co, IN census living in Daniel ROBBINS household). There are three children listed for this family:
> Hazel, b. 1900, Indiana, age 10
>Clarence W. b. 1905, Indiana, age 5
>Dorthy I. b. 1908, Indiana, age 2

This is the last reference I can find for Alonzo b. 1880, IN and Lelia / Lela b. 1882.

Can you shed any light on 1)who the father of Alonzo b. 1880 is? and/or 2) what happened to the member of this family?

Thanks;
Mike
