Hi. I am trying to verify my Aunts old genealogy work and have hit the perverbial brick wall in trying to find William Sherman (supposedly the son of Ezra and Deborah Sherman), b. 1794 in Duchess County, NY who married Laura Nye (the daugher of Levi and Patience Nye),b. 1795 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Mass. I am trying to verify that these two individuals ( whom I can't find anywhere) had a daughter named Charlotte b. 1828 in NY. It is also possible they had another daughter or daughter in law named Eliza b. 1826. William and Laura may have moved to the general Illinois area as Charlotte ended up in Illinois in 1851 when she married David M. Davis of Conn./Wales.

Is there anyone out there who has a clue?
