Hello, I am looking for any relatives of Henry J. Downs who was kill an Air Corps training exersize August 24, 1943 in Montana during WWII. Or any relatives of the O'Donnell's that are shown associated with the Downs. I believe that a Joseph O'Donnell (an uncle I think) received Mr. Downs remains when he was returned home for burial. We have found a picture of Mr. Downs but not relatives. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Relatives as of 1930 census: Name: Henry J Downs Home in 1930: Amesbury, Essex, Massachusetts Age: 16 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1914 Relation to Head of House: Son Father's Name: Peter A Mother's Name: Cecilia Mary Parents' birthplace: View Image Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Peter A Downs 50 - Father Cecilia M Downs 53 - Mother Henry J Downs 16 Agnes M Obrien 62 - Sister-in-law David J Odonnell 29 - Nephew Mary A O'Donnell lived with them in 1920 Mr. Downs entered the service at Patterson Field, Fairfield, Ohio in 1942. His residence state was Massachusetts, Essex County. He was born in 1914. 4 years of high school, single w/o dependents at that time. Civilian occupation was skilled mechanics and repairmen, n.e.c. . I am helping a gentleman who lost a brother in that crash and he would like to share the information he has gathered in regards to that crash. He has also visited the actual site of where the plane crashed and found his brother's dog tag after 60 years. Thank you again. Notify Administrator about this message?
